Exactly 29 years later, Ellis Island opened in New York Harbor. Musicians Justin Timberlake, David Bowie, and Elvis Presley were all born in January. Not to mention Marilyn Manson.

Those born in February tend to be gifted artistically.

One of the most common professions for February babies is artist, according to a British study. Bob Dylan released “The Times They Are a Changing” on February 10, 1964. So were Bob Marley and John Travolta.

If your birthday is in March, you are more likely to have a corner office than your peers born in other months.

One study found that a large percentage of top CEOs were born in March. If you listen to the radio at work, you might have Nashville to thank! The very first FM radio station was launched and began broadcasting music there on March 1st, 1941. Eight years later, the first automatic streetlights were installed in New Milford, CT. A couple of CEO-type celebrities were born in March: Wanda Sykes and Lady Gaga.

People born in April are caring and strong, like their birthstone—the diamond.

April is named after the Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite. In the Roman calendar, the fourth month is spelled Aprilis, meaning “to open.” Some very famous people were born in April, including Eddie Murphy, David Letterman, Kate Hudson, Jennifer Garner, and William Shakespeare.

If you are a happy-go-lucky sort, you were probably born in May.

A 2004 study revealed that people born in May consider themselves luckier than those born in any other month. One such event occurred On May 1st, 1967; Elvis married Priscilla! 36 years earlier, the Empire State Building opened on the same day. Some famous people with May birthdays include Queen Victoria, Adele, and George Clooney.

An analysis of Nobel Laureates found that a surprisingly high number of winners were born in June.

Little boys across America were the big winners in June of 1938 when Superman was introduced in the D.C. Comics. And in June of 1919, women, who are all super, were given the right to vote by Congress. A few of the superwomen who were born in June include Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe, Nicole Kidman, Joan Rivers, Angelina Jolie, and Natalie Portman.

July babies are more likely to be left-handed, and an overwhelmingly large number of them are artists.

So, if you’re a July-born artist, there’s a good chance you painted your first masterpiece using your left hand. The first moon landing happened in July of 1969. Twenty-three years earlier, in July 1946, the first Bikini swimsuit was introduced on a Paris runway. (Word has it that the fashion show guests were over-the-moon!) Famous July-born superstars include Tom Cruise, Jennifer Lopez, Kevin Hart, and Earnest Hemingway.

People born in August tend to be bold, loyal, charismatic, and trailblazing.

They see every opportunity as a chance to hit a home run! Maybe that’s why Babe Ruth became the first baseball player in the history of baseball to hit 500 home runs In August of 1929! Then in August ‘07, Barry Bonds took it a little further, hitting his 756th home run! It’s no coincidence that Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton were born in August. Lyndon B. Johnson, Herbert Hoover, and Benjamin Harrison were, too.

October babies have athletic potential and tend to be stronger and more athletic than summer-born babies.

The athletic edge is most likely due to being older and bigger than the other kids in their class. (As well as getting started in sports earlier and school later.) December-born people are considered winter babies in the Northern Hemisphere and summer babies in the Southern Hemisphere.

It turns out that the two rarest days to give birth in the US are Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Two brothers, Orville and Wilbur Wright, made the first successful man-powered airplane flight on December 17, 1903.
